Anthon is renowned physicist researching Dark Matter - particles we know nothing about, but of which 95% of our universe consists of. Anthon's life is turned upside down when his eleven years old son Thomas is kidnapped by Elena, a mysterious woman. From that moment Anthon not only has to go look for his son, but also for himself. Dark Matter is a reflection on the dark mysteries of our universe and how we relate to the unknown.
Weird characters, odd mishaps, fates that meet, skim and loose each other in an attempt to shed light on the “meaning of life”: a college student in love with her philosophy lecturer; a disabled man seeking recovery; a pop star meeting a spiritual guru.
